Schools at the Festival

Each year, the SFIAAFF invites students from San Franciscos public and private high schools to attend specially curated film screenings and discussions. Designed to engage, provoke and inspire, Schools at the Festival offers an opportunity for youths to view Asian American films and to participate in post-screening dialogues with filmmakers and members of the community. Through subsidized, low-cost tickets, thousands of students have attended the SFIAAFF through the Schools at the Festival program and been introduced to the worlds of independent and Asian American film.

If you are an educator and interested in participating in the SFIAAFF’s Schools at the Festival program, please email Chihiro Wimbush at outreach [at] asianamericanmedia [dot] org or call 415.863.0814 x204 for more details.
