Japantown has been the home of the Festival since 1990. Due to renovations at the Sundance Kabuki, the Festival will be holding most of its screenings at the AMC Van Ness Theatres this year, but between and after screenings, count on being in Japantown again. With shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, it’s the perfect place to continue the festival experience. Plus, check our website for updates on outdoor events at the Japantown Peace Plaza. With affordable parking at Japan Center Garage, you can use it as your home base as you use the Festival Shuttle to visit both AMC Van Ness Theatres and the Castro Theatre.
