The Pacific Film Archive, UC Berkeley’s visual arts center, is dedicated to film preservation, exhibition, and appreciation. The PFA houses the largest collection of Japanese films outside of Japan and was the festival’s first venue in 1982 - today it is the sole East Bay venue.
