Filmmaker Accreditation
We are pleased to offer you complimentary accreditation to the SFIAAFF. Please read carefully all of the policies so that you are best able to take advantage of your participation in the Festival.
Accreditation Eligibility
- Film Guests (e.g., directors, cast and crew): The SFIAAFF will accredit two (2) guests per short film (including the director) and three guests (3) per feature film (including the director)
- Additional Film or Industry Accreditations are available for ADVANCE purchase for $100. Please contact Guest Services at mimi@asianamericanmedia.org for more information.
- A maximum of three directors per feature or short can receive Filmmaker accreditation.
Accreditation Benefits
During the Festival, accredited guest are offered access to all regular-priced screenings, on a space-available basis. All accredited guests will be issued a Festival badge which can be used to obtain tickets. Badges are non-transferable.
Regular-priced screenings:
- Accredited guests may obtain four (4) complimentary tickets per day, and only one per screening
- Tickets can be obtained at the Guest Services Lounge beginning the day prior to the screening
- A limited number of tickets are available for each screening, and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- If tickets to a screening are exhausted, you may enter the rush line and receive a complimentary ticket. See below for rush line policy.
Gala Screenings:
- Accredited guests are offered access to gala screenings and special events on a space-available basis. These events include: Opening and Closing Night, Centerpiece, San Jose Opening Night and Directions In Sound events.
- RSVP is required for Opening and Closing Night Galas, please indicate on Accreditation form the ticket(s) you would like
- Badge provides admission to Gala parties
Discounted Tickets
- Accredited guests may purchase regular-priced tickets at the Center for Asian American Media member rate of $8 per ticket. Present badge at box office for this rate.
TICKETS TO YOUR SCREENING
Filmmakers will receive a limited amount of complimentary tickets for each of their screenings.
- Feature filmmakers receive eight (8) tickets per screening, twelve (12) for Castro Theatre Screenings
- Shorts filmmakers receive two (2) tickets per screening.
- Co-directors must share these complimentary tickets.
- Filmmakers will need tickets for themselves for their screenings.
- Your Cast and Crew attending the festival will not receive any additional complimentary tickets to the screening. The filmmakers allotment of complimentary tickets to their screening will need to cover any of those needs.
- Tickets will be available for pick up at the Guest Services Office upon your arrival.
RUSH TICKETS
Once a film is sold out and in a Rush situation, you may wait in the rush line and receive free admission with your badge if there are seats available.
- Rush ticket lines form about 1 hour before show time.
- Being in the rush line does not guarantee admission; tickets are released on an available basis starting about 10 minutes before the start of the show.
GUEST SERVICES LOUNGE
Your badge will allow you access to the festival Guest Services Lounge, located in the Macys Festival Square, in the lobby of the AMC Van Ness Theatres, where the majority of the Festival screenings will take place. The Lounge is a great place to relax, check your email and meet fellow filmmakers and guests.
