Be a part of the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian American and Asian
films! Since 1982, the SFIAAFF has been an important launching point for
Asian American independent filmmakers as well as a vital source for new
Asian cinema.

SFIAAFF Volunteers serve in a variety of capacities across the festival,
from box office to galas and receptions, from ticket taking to driving
festival guests.

Volunteer benefits include:

  • Vouchers for festival screenings
  • Meeting film industry professionals and fellow film enthusiasts
  • Official Festival T-shirt
  • Volunteer Appreciation Party
  • Working off parking or traffic tickets incurred at various cities
    throughout the Bay Area through Project 20

Shifts are still available. We ask all volunteers to commit to a minimum of
3 shifts over the course of the festival for a minimum total of 12 hours.
